Initial Expectations: I’ve really liked what I’ve seen from Private’s Pirate Video Deluxe line, so I have high hopes for this DVD as well.
Initial Reaction: Although I think it could have been better if the plot was done a little different, it’s still a hot movie with a decent plot.
Who Should Watch It : Fans of hardcore sex, anybody who liked Fetish Therapy or Hells Belles
Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who thinks Vivid is just a little too hardcore.
Music: Surprisingly, the music is classical. There’s Mozart, Grieg, and Beethoven as well as several other recognizable composer’s works. There’s also a little bit that isn’t classical, but it isn’t much and it doesn’t fit in as well. All the music is very nicely balanced with the rest of the audio and at times can barely be heard.
The Feature: After crashing off the road, Daniella Rush is declared dead. Her husband, David Perry, however, isn’t so sure since her body was never found. When he goes to see the site of the accident, things don’t quite add up so he does a little more investigating. He finds her alive, but isn’t sure how to react when she tells him that she faked her death because he was too boring in bed (ouch!). She does give him another chance by trying to get him into a fetishist’s lifestyle.

There’s plenty of pussy licking, ass fucking, and double penetrations, including Lea de Mae seeing how far she can get stretched. Daniella Rush also gets the double pump, making what looks like it should be very clumsy appear easy. Daniella starts off the facial-fest by taking a load in her mouth, followed by the rest of the girls doing their best baby bird impressions. It’s a very good orgy scene, especially since it doesn’t even last fifteen minutes, which carries a lot of heat throughout the entire scene.
The Bride Wore Black is a nicely different porno. The sex has a different feel, since it’s a fetish movie, and is often slightly rougher and darker than the sex in most pornos. It’s also very heavy on anal sex, which one has come to expect from Private. The plot also feels very different from most pornos. It’s definitely darker than most porn plots but it works extremely well here. The main drawback to the movie is some of Daniella Rush’s acting. She does great in sex scenes, but when it comes to the plot scenes it leaves much to be desired. Luckily there aren’t many plot scenes with her in the movie so it doesn’t interfere too much. If you’re looking for something other than the run of the mill porno, this Thring might be just your thing.

Overall: Currently, The Bride Wore Black can be found online for between $23 and $28 with most stores offering it for about $25. It’s a good feature that’s well acted for the most part, and has a lot of hot sex. The main problem with the entire feature is that Daniella Rush’s acting is a little weak at times. The transfer is very good in addition to including some nice extras.
Note to Private: This is a nice extra package, and one that I’m surprised other companies haven’t ripped off. It would be nice if one could go directly from the extras menu to watching the movie rather than having to wait for the animation on the menus.
