The Short Story
Initial Expectations: The original Dark Angels was pretty darn impressive, and I’ve been hearing great things about this one as well. I’m going in with very high expectations.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting a full on feature
Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting long sex scenes or something more than boy – girl vaginal action
The Feature
Years ago, Jack Cross (Dillon) thought he wiped out the vampires. He soon found out that he wasn’t completely successful and things stayed fairly quiet. Things have picked up now that the vampires, led by Draken (Barrett Blade), are dying. The only thing that can save them is pure blood, the pure blood that’s coursing through Jesse (Sunny Lane), who’s thrown into a world that she’s completely unprepared for.
Scene 1 – August and Barrett Blade
Barrett starts things out dressed all in black with leather pants and a mesh shirt kissing August and rolling around with her on the bed before breaking out his cock for her to suck. They spoon before August bounces on him reverse cowgirl style. She lies back for a little missionary work before Barrett pops on her stomach. He bends down to kiss her, and moves from her mouth to bite her neck.
This is a pretty good opening scene. It has a very cinematic feel, but it doesn’t completely kill the heat between Barrett and August. They seem to be nicely into each other, and August moves very nice through the scene. The biggest problem with the scene for me was the position changes were never shown and the music was way too loud at the start. That said, this is one of the hotter scenes I’ve watched from Nic Andrews.
Scene 2 – Destiny Deville and Tyler Wood
Tyler lays back on the couch and lets cute Latino (I think) Destiny gobble his knob to start out the second scene. He lets her move right up to ride him reverse cowgirl style with her tattered jean skirt pulled up and her red tube top pulled down before letting her lie back so he can lick and finger her bald beaver. Tyler moves back up to the couch to fuck her doggie style before giving her an impressive facial.
This is a pretty good scene. There was some very nice use of low lighting that worked well for the artistic effect and I like how they mixed up the sex alternating oral and fucking. Destiny looked great, and there was some pretty good chemistry between her and Tyler. This is a solid scene.
Scene 3 – Karina Kay and Tommy Gunn
After closing down the diner for the night, cute brunette waitress gets it on with Tommy in the dishroom. They kiss and play around a little before stripping Karina down and helping her up onto the counter for Tommy to tongue her twat. She rewards him with some cocksucking and titty fucking before letting him fuck her from behind. Karina lets go with a couple small squirts as Tommy fucks her, and then rolls over to let him have her missionary style. Finally Tommy pops on her stomach. They go back at it and are caught by Sunny before the scene ends.
This is a pretty good scene. Karina, as usual, looks great, and has a fantastic body. She and Tommy seem to be into each other pretty good, but at the same time the feel of the scene seemed like it was going for artsy and beautiful much more than it was going for sexy. This is a decent but maybe overly tame scene.
Scene 4 – Monica Mayhem and Evan Stone
Monica, in her redhead mode and looking completely fantastic in a black latex corest and hot pants, fishnets, and thigh-high boots, starts things out lightly touching herself before she’s joined by Evan, who throws her against the wall, kisses her hard, and pulls her fishnets open so he can tongue her twat and spread it out with three fingers. He lets Monica suck his fingers clean before she moves down to really show off her sucking talents, and then fucks her standing up. He starts from behind as she leans against a pipe before fucking her as she leans against a concrete pillar. Finally, Evan decorates Monica’s augmented tits.
This is a pretty hot scene. It has a halfway intense feeling to it, but the camera work is such that it softens things up and holds it back. Monica seems to want it rough, and Evan does a pretty good job giving it to her. This scene felt like it could have gone on a lot longer than it did.
Scene 5 – Sunny Lane and Dillon
After training and talking a bit, Dillion and Sunny get it on out in the desert. They kiss as they strip each other down and fondle each other before Sunny drops down to take care of Dillon’s dick orally. He lays her back on the hood of his Mustang to tongue her twat before joining her on it so she can ride him reverse cowgirl style. They also get in a little missionary work before Sunny gets down to take a facial finish.
This is a very nice final sex scene. There’s a little interaction between Sunny and Dillon to build some chemistry between them for the sex, and they seem nicely into each other. Dillon seems a touch stiff, but at the same time that works with how his character is. Once again my only real complaint here is that the sex could have went on a little longer.
With Dark Angels 2, Nic Andrews once again shows why he’s one of the kings of the high budge couples feature. It has the same cinematic feel as many movies you might go out to the theater to see as well as plenty of nicely done couples friendly sex. Heck, for that matter, Dark Angels 2 has a better plot, cinematic eye, and yes, even music than many movies that seem to find their way into theaters today as well as most of the B-movies on cable. The acting is also pretty good, but does have some of the problems that goes along with people who are mostly paid to fuck. As for the fucking, it also works very well. The sex in Nic’s movies have almost always been the weak link in the chain, but here the scenes work pretty well. Yes, they’re shorter scenes and could have definitely been longer, but there’s pretty good chemistry in them and they’re nicely captured. Dark Angels 2 suffers a little from sequelitis, but is still one heck of a great couples movie.

The Bottom Line:
Currently, many of Digital Sin’s DVDs can be found online for between about $15 and $25 with many stores offering them around the $20 mark. Even though it’s a disappointing double disc set, the movie here is good enough that this one’s worth the money. There doesn’t look to be any money or effort spared to do the movie right, and the sex is nicely done as well. The technical aspects are some of the best I’ve seen in a long time, but the extras are sorely lacking. This is a great movie that’s very well done paired with a disappointing amount of extras.
Note to New Sensations: It’s great to see you going back to some high quality features again! I hope you keep it up and also put some effort into the extras next time.
